The Breatheology method is suitable for everybody – young and old. It is never too late to learn new things. Everyone can master the breathing, body and mind exercises that are taught within the Breatheology method. The key component is time – take small steps and do not rush.
What if I am overweight or not in the best shape of my life?
No problem. You can still benefit from the Breatheology method and overcome your boundaries. Understand your limitations and take it slowly. Regular practice of the Breatheology method will improve your fitness level and general health as the nervous system is transformed and rewired back to its original state.
Please understand that the Breatheology method is not a replacement for medical care. If you are suffering from a serious medical condition, we strongly advise discussing practicing Breatheology with your healthcare provider before venturing out on your own.
You may already notice the first results after a few days of applying the breathing, body and mind exercises in terms of reduced anxiety, more energy, pain management and better sleep.
As the Breatheology method becomes part of your daily routine, you will notice even better results after 3-4 weeks of practice and you’ll notice that more permanent changes to your body and health in about 3 months. But remember, each person is different so it is important to move at your own pace.
Some people may notice a temporary dip in their energy levels after the first two weeks. This is nothing to worry about. It takes some time for your body to cleanse itself and for your neurology to be rewired to function more efficiently.
The key to mastering the Breatheology method and reaping its full benefits is consistency. It is better to practice 10-15 minutes every day at the same time to start a habit, compared to a single weekly one-hour session.
Therefore, be realistic and patient in the beginning. The exercises in the Breatheology method will have a profound effect on your entire nervous system, body and mind – if you perform them on a regular basis. So, even if the exercises feels too challenging at first or you don’t feel like doing them today, persevere and keep going. You will be rewarded in the long run.
Yes, it is an excellent idea to introduce Breatheology to your children. Here is why.
Up until the age of 6 to 8, children breathe optimally – in the belly and through the nose. But as we get older and grow into human society and its expectations, we gradually lose the ability to breathe optimally. Therefore, the Breatheology method will feel more natural for children and will prevent them from forming the bad habits that negatively impact their health and well-being.
We do recommend for children to practice the exercises within the Breatheology method with supervision of a parent or legal guardian. It is a great way to spend time together and strengthen the bond, while ensuring the safety of your child.
The wonderful thing about the Breatheology method is that it is a complete framework that teaches you what breathing, body and mind exercises to use in various situations. Instead of a specific, but narrow, solution to improve your health, Breatheology gives you a toolbox with tools to apply in different situations.
The link between maternal stress and child development has been well-documented. Deep, controlled breaths, and relaxation and imagery exercises enhance your self-esteem and feelings of joy will also increase the level of endorphins and decrease the pain of pregnancy and childbirth.
If you are experiencing a cold or not feeling well, it is your body’s way of telling you that you need to slow down and rest. Instead of not practicing Breatheology at all, it is recommended that you use the right exercises to speed up your recovery.
Deep breathing and mental relaxation activate the parasympathetic nervous system through the vagus nerve. This will calm your body and allows it to rest and recover faster from what is causing you not feeling well in the first place.
Refrain from practicing the more demanding exercises in the Breatheology method and if the pain increases or the cold lingers, make sure to reach out to your healthcare provider for a medical checkup.
The Breatheology method introduces you to different ways of breathing properly, which allows you to exert more control over your body and mind.
Our lungs are connected to our brains and heart through the vagus nerve. You can stimulate the vagus nerve through controlled breathing. Slower breathing leads to a lower pulse rate and blood pressure which creates calmness in body, mind and spirit.
Proper breathing control also increases the efficiency of each breath. A higher oxygenation of your blood means that your organs receive more oxygen and therefore perform better. You will feel more focused and have more energy.
Absolutely! In fact – the entire Breatheology Platform is highly “mobile responsive” meaning that it will adapt to your device – whether you use a smartphone, computer or tablet. Whether you use iOS, Android or Windows… it runs seamlessly on all systems.
